A Stormy Night with “Berlin Express”

Flynn was spending the night at his grandparents’ house, so it was a pretty quiet evening. About 9:00 p.m., I got a call from our EAA chapter president that the “Berlin Express” (in town for tours/rides) might need to find a hangar to avoid storms.

While the crew got things set up for towing, I snapped this rainy, dark photo that seems to capture the evening pretty well.

“Berlin Express” is a 1943 B-25 bomber owned by EAA. This particular aircraft never saw combat.
